I have been an OR nurse since 1995 and have held the Canadian Nurses Association Certification for Perioperative Nursing since 2003. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of Operating Rooms in Nova Scotia after leaving Moncton in 2003.I currently work as the Clinical Leader in the Operating Room at the Dartmouth General Hospital. In 2013 I had the opportunity to take a long assignment and go teach in the Perioperative Program at the Registered Nurses Development Centre in Halifax. Upon completion of the two years I returned to the OR in Dartmouth where I have had the opportunity to preceptor new staff and move ahead in my career.
